- How can I be sure that the caregiver you send me is screened?
- Comfort & Care of Wallingford carefully reviews each applicant prior to them coming to our office for their initial interview. From there we complete a thorough check of all previous employers as well as personal references. We continue by conducting a statewide criminal background inquiry. All potential caregivers are interviewed by are professional Scheduling Team to review all policies and procedures that Comfort & Care of Wallingford has in place. Once this process is completed we are then able to make the best match between our client and caregiver and even have a potential caregiver meet the client's family for a more extensive one on one meeting.
- What is the minimum amount of care that I need to commit to?
- Comfort & Care of Wallingford does have a 2-hour minimum per client. We do not require any of our clients to adhere to a written contract for a required length of care.
- What type of insurance does Comfort & Care of Wallingford hold?
- Comfort & Care of Wallingford carries all the necessary liability insurance for all aspects of our company. For the safety and well being of our client's and caregivers, we provide full bonding and worker's compensation insurance.
- How much of an advance notice does Comfort & Care of Wallingford need to provide services?
- Comfort & Care of Wallingford has a team of Scheduler's that is able to handle any situation that arises within a few hours for services to begin. Keep in mind that if you are able to provide us with an advanced notification that does help in the process of obtaining the right caregiver for your needs.

- No. Comfort & Care of Wallingford hires all caregivers and ensures that all local, federal taxes and social security are paid weekly.
- How does Comfort & Care of Wallingford handle a caregiver not coming to work?
- Comfort & Care of Wallingford is committed to ensuring that all of our clients are cared for. If for any reason our caregiver is unable to make it to their client's home we ensure that another caregiver is provided. Comfort & Care of Wallingford is prepared to handle any emergency situation that may arise that will not result in additional costs to our client's or their families. We provide a 24/7 on-call staff member to handle all situations.
